Favorite Surplus Suppliers?
Didn't see a thread quite like this yet (or maybe I missed it) but here goes:
What are your favorite military surplus suppliers? Brick & mortar? Online? Who do you find has the best prices on things? Is there one place you always check first or do you generally shop around to find what you want at the price you want? Though I'm sure it's far from everyone's cup of tea, I'm sure there's some interest around here and would love to check out new places/find good deals.
Aside from collecting milsurp firearms, I have also recently come to appreciate the (usually) cheap, durable and IMO stylish appeal of military surplus clothing, as well as all the other items I amass under the guise of being a "collector" (knives, memorabilia, whatever catches my eye or seems useful). I happened across www.sportsmansguide.com a while ago looking for similar items a while back and have been fairly pleased with their service/prices but they certain don't have everything.
Re: Favorite Surplus Suppliers?
The days of brick and mortar military surplus are long gone (anyone remember IC Goldbergs) . Actually the golden days of surplus in general is long gone. I have not seen barrels of real bayonets anywhere lately.
You may find a few stores with a limited amount of true surplus. But most things today are commercial items made to look military.
Re: Favorite Surplus Suppliers?
Sportsmans Guide is always good for me.
Re: Favorite Surplus Suppliers?
Centerfire systems usually has a lot of military clothes and goodies. As far as milsurp guns, pickings are mighty slim anywhere.
Re: Favorite Surplus Suppliers?
If I told you everyone would buy up the good stuff.
Re: Favorite Surplus Suppliers?
I recently got on the mailing list for Colemans, near Millersburg, upriver from Harrisburg: https://colemans.com/
They have some items I have found interesting.
BTW, I used to love IC Goldberg.

That probably depends on where you live. I'm right near Gettysburg and there are quite a few stores downtown. As to the authenticity of their products, I cannot really say for sure but it looks pretty legit to me.
