I voted LCP.
Which has better sights already?
Get it for the LCP.
Hows the trace for the LCP mounted? If it wont fit in your holster, piss on it...I'd get a guide rod laser for the xd...
I would get it on the LCP. Much smaller gun and harder to acquire the target with the conventional sights. Night sights on the XD Sub should be sufficient.
All of the above apply. I'd vote for the LCP, too. It would benefit more from the laser - the other has better sights already.

I voted for the LCP for the reasons other posters stated. I added mine for around $165. I also have an XD sub-compact in 40 cal and will eventually add a laser. It's very easy to attach.
I second that - IF I were to get a laser. I do not like the grip lasers or any type that adds to the volume of the firearm in any way.
Mmmm the good stuff....http://www.40ozmaltliquor.com/40/laser2.jpg
So, why not buy another gun...? I'm always a fan of more guns! Then buy the lasers later...
Not for nothing, but you should learn to shoot your guns first before you go buying laser systems.
I mean, put a couple thousand rounds through your carry gun, get some professional training, and maybe even join IDPA.
On another note, enjoy your laser.
Some models of the Crimson Trace have a master on off switch for training purposes. When I hit the range with my Glock 36 I shoot the first batch without the laser, then I turn the laser on for the next batch, and finally I end it with another set without the laser. I feel like I'm getting practice with both.
Granted not all CT models have this option and it would be a pain to remove, and replace all the time. Guess I'm lucky! LOL
Just something to think about ...
