i checked yes g on my app for a d u i 22 yrs ago will get approved for my permit

Here's a link to reasons for denial. I'm not a lawyer, but I don't think a single DUI 22 years ago is grounds for denial, unless they invoke the "of good moral character" clause. I don't think DELCO is known for abusing that clause, however Philadelphia routinely denies on that basis.

Here's another discussion on the topic. Apparently, older convictions may have included penalties that would now be classified as prohibiting. You have to wait and see, and then seek legal recourse as necessary.
