870 Truglo sights?
i am attempting to mount some sights on my Remmington 870.
the rear sight was easy but the front sight is giving me trouble. The directions say to unscrew the front bead and mount the sight but i can't seem to get the bead to unscrew? anyone have any advice on how to fix this maybe a helpful tip?

Re: 870 Truglo sights?
The newer 870's are tamped in. They just drop it in and flatten the barrel side. You will have to get cutters and snip below the bead. And you will also have to thread the hole.
Which is why my sights have not been replaced.
I you have rifle sights and not a bead. What I said may not apply.

Re: 870 Truglo sights?
It won't be high enough. Most I've seen either require a front bead to glue the replacemets over, or screw down using that hole.
Either way if you have a GR rear, it's not going to line up right with a low bead. Snip it off and buy a tap to thread the hole.
