....guess it was too much for the talking heads to have attempted to provide any kind of description of this machine gun.

Looks like another "criminal mastermind" taken down by social media.
Quote:
Federal prosecutors say the weapon was discovered after Hasay threatened to commit a hate crime online.
The plea deal says Hasay will admit to possessing the weapon.
He faces up to 10 years in federal prison.
Hasay has been behind bars since his arrest in August.

According to United States Attorney David J. Freed, the information alleges that Hasay possessed a Glock 19 9mm bearing an auto sear from October 22, 2017 through August 23, 2018. Law enforcement identified Hasay after he posted content in online forums espousing racist, white supremacist, and Nazi ideologies, and threatened to commit a hate crime.

Isn't it ATF that's running the ads for Glock auto sears in various media?
You have to wonder how many crimes could be avoided if our LEO's didn't sell contraband.

Yes, last year complete drop-in back plate sear kits were available on Amazon for around $100. Once the comments got out of hand, by calling out the sting, the item was pulled from Amazon.
Not sure about any other outlets.

This is all news to me so please forgive my ignorance on it. Are you saying that ATF was selling FA kits on Amazon as part of a sting operation? If so, that would constitute entrapment.
