FFL Transfer for online purchase
Does anyone know a fair priced FFL dealer near washington county that accepts online purchases and doesn't try to kill you on the price? I bought a new gun online and everyone I called either didn't do transfers for online purchases or charged a ridiculous price for the transfer. I found a place in New Alexander for a decent price last time i looked but its far and i can't find who it was now.
Thanks,
Brian

I appreciate the recommendation that is about an hour from me though, I was hoping to be a little closer

There are several down that way I found a while back when I thought I was going to make a purchase from the classifieds. Get on gunbroker and go to their ffl finder. You will see several and most of them have their prices listed. I think there was a guy in Midway that only charged $25.

He's located within a mile of Route 30 and Braddock Ave. in N. Versailles. His cost as posted in his web site is only $25. John is a member of PMSC and a great guy.
Re: FFL Transfer for online purchase
I found the company i had with my previous purchase that fell through. I called about 20 stores yesterday and they either wanted $60 for an online purchase transfer or they flat out said no we don't do that. Everyone around here is pretty cheap for regular transfers but seem to have a bad taste in their mouth for online purchases. Thanks Washington County guns and suppressors for all being reasonable for all transfers. They are about 35 minutes from my house but that's better than getting screwed by everyone else.
Anyone know why it's so expensive for online purchase transfers I'm just curious now.
Thanks for all the input all

Well, the mid-size to big shops don't like it at all because they want the gun sale. Why?, Well, they make more $$$ on selling a gun, plus ammo plus any accessories that they can sell along with it. If your an "internet" gun buyer then they know your a price shopper...and that's not the guy they want.
OTOH, I've paid a little more to buy at my local shop because it's right there, it keeps him in business, and ....oh....it's right there. One stop and it's all done. Plus if I have an issue either he will take care of it, or if it has to go back to the factory then I just deal directly with the factory anyway. But sometimes the dealer can make it work faster.
