This has probably been talked about a lot but I want to get some owners opinions on where Palmetto stacks up against other manufacturers . Let me know what you guys think .

I've had great luck with the three uppers, three striped lowers, and three parts kits I've purchased from them. If you do order a complete upper, expect long wait times, which are spelled out on their web site. All three uppers are very reliable and even a "blem" one looks and fires correctly. The specs are there and I'd rank them as a middle teir company (highly) above BM but below Colt and DD.
Do you have specific PSA vs ____ you want addressed??

I am making a trade for one and I wanted to get a feel for what kind of quality to expect I have a few brands. I like my mega lowers and i dislike my spikes lower because it is loose compared to the others... I cant think what company BM is.

It'd put the PSA I assembled for my dad up against any colt, or my bcm rifles any time. Their blemished stuff is only cosmetic.

What hand guard is on this?
There have been some complaints/reports from PSA primarily during the last panic. Loose barrel nuts, crooked FSBs and stuff like that. Just look over everything to make sure. As far as the quality of the materials on a lot of their parts, from what I have and have seen it is good stuff.
The same one as in post #3 of your thread. It's a PSA branded one. It is quite heavy, but very solid.......
As seen here on PSA's site.....

Labeled as "13.5" SQR hybrid free float"
Excellent quality!
Many of their barrels are made by FN in the United States. The upper receivers bear mil-spec contractor forge marks.
