SBR signoff somerset county
Im intrested in building a SBR AR with a 7.5 inch upper. Now, the questions are. exactly what do i need to do? I know about the fingerprints/200 dollar tax stamp, things of that nature.
The question is exactly what forms do i need. And how would i go about getting the Somerset County sheriff to sign off on it. Me being 22 might make it a little harder, but ive never been in trouble with the law, i can talk very respectfully, and clean up rather well.
Re: SBR signoff somerset county
something to think about at 7.5" Ar .223 cal you will have a hard time with cycling
LWRC has a piston 6.8cal 6.5" Ar upper that works and a 10.5" .223 piston set up
unless the whole set up is enginered as a complete kit it might be more trouble than its worth.
the bolt carrier weight , buffer spring, gas tube length, gas port hole size in barrel and front sight, ammo

Re: SBR signoff somerset county
FA223 i was just going to order the 7.5 pistol upper from model 1
Re: SBR signoff somerset county
you will need to do a form 1 , I found link to them in NFA sales at www.top-notchparts.com
Re: SBR signoff somerset county
if your doing a pistol kit with NO stock just buffer/tube cap your fine
if your wanting to add a stock and go SBR that buffer tube and spring won't have the same specs. as the pistol capping tube

There's a thread about this at the top of the forum:
