I've been throwing all my brass that is to banged up to use into a box to take to the scrap yard once there is enough, and prices go up. Before I get to much I was just wondering if I should take the primers out.

The scrap yard may complain that they're in there... Better to take them out so there's no question and they give you the best money for it.
I would contact the scrap yard you plan on taking the brass to. Some places will not take brass with the primers still in...even spent primers. Others don't care.
Thank you, I was just going threw the pile and noticed there's some .22 rimfires mixed in. They were stuck in some of my range pick up brass. I'm not exactly sure how the whole primer thing works with them, should I just throw them out?
If the 22's have been fired there won't be any primer material in them any more. You're good to go.
Anyone actually sell brass to scrap yard? If so please give us your experience.
Also I've been finding a lot of solid copper shotgun slugs. Anyone cash in on these?
Id actually like to get set up for molding my own .223 rounds and using spent .22's as the jacket.
primers shouldn't be a problem as long as they are detonated . Rifle and pistol primers are brass but shotgun primers are mostly steel
I've never had a problem, they just throw them in the yellow brass bin, after weighing.
