I have a buddy who is thinking about selling his Gen 1 Glock 19 .. It has general holster wear .. Was wondering what is a good price for this firearm ?
Thanks Brian

You can go on Gunbroker and do a search of the completed auctions. Search for the Gen 1 G19 or G19 and only look at the completed auctions that have at least one bidder. Better are the ones with multiple bidders. You can then see what they actually sold for, not just what someone is asking. That should give you some indication of what you might want to offer or tell him what selling price he might want to put on it.
I would make sure it's actually a Gen 1. Many claim to have one, few really do.
If you look on Glock talk a true gen1 glock 19 will be worth a lot of cash. There are threads there with people showing Gen1 Glock 19's no rail, no fingergrooves, and early grip texture. I would think the value could easily exceed 1500 if numbers matching true Gen1 19. Due to the rarity I do not think that the carry wear will be an issue with price.
Here is a link to one Gen1 19 thread, if this is not allowed, mods please delete

It is likely not a gen 1 but a gen 2.
Here is a recent thread with some info so you can see the differences.

I just saw one for sale at Target World in Chalfont about two weeks ago and they were asking around $420.
My apologies - I'm not sure what generation it was. Just know it wasn't a Gen 4.
