Residency requirement for references on LTCF application
My wife received the renewal paperwork for her LTCF, and it looks like Tom Young is making up the rules. He has instituted a residency requirement for references: "References must be Tioga County residents..." I don't recall seeing this when I renewed mine a year or so ago.
Also, the supporting paperwork is titled "What is required to obtain a concealed weapons permit?"
Sheesh...

Not the first time we have heard about the Tioga sheriff.
I recommend you use whatever references you want. If they are out of county so be it.
ETA:
Does Tioga issue on the spot?
Re: Residency requirement for references on LTCF application
To answer your question, not any more. She was surprised when she was told she would be contacted to pick up her license.
We got the letter the other day.
So, while not as convenient and simple as it used to be, it's not nearly as bad as some counties.
I need to have a talk with the sheriff at some point.

I would and I have. The more pressure put on him the better.

I think it's time for a new sheriff. How long until the next election for sheriff?

At least 2 years I think.
