Finally got to Wicen's. Did not disappoint. Wish it was closer to Delco. Saw the range officer forcefully yet politely tell some idiot not to carry his loaded revolver in his loosely fitting jeans' back pant pocket. Can't wait to go back.
And from my personal experiences with you at Wicen's, as well as my 20 years of using Wicen's, I know why it's one of the safest ranges I have ever used.
Thanks for protecting the sport. Yeah, your a range rules lunatic, but a professional one and well, the results speak for themselves.
I like to thank Wicen's for helping my wife sight in her AR. She was with her Girl's club a few weeks ago.
Who's is your wife? I saw only 3 ladies at the first lane, playing with new AR and I know all 3 of them. I know you are not Lori's husband, so either your wife was shooting pistol with another group at the moment or most likely I know you and that was your wife's purple AR. :)
I am going to try to check this place out next week. How is it on weekdays say around 11am? Does anyone have pictures or have links to pictures of the club grounds? I couldn't find any on the site. Is rifle 100yd only and sitting only? Thanks.
There will probably be 3 RSOs + deck officer at the time you'll arrive :)
Photos are prohibited and it's being enforced religiously. I'd suggest Bing's birdseye view (hope it's updated).
Yes, 100 yrds, benchrest position. Of course you set your target at any desirable distance up to 100 yrds. If your rifle shoots pistol calibers (5.7, 9mm, .22 LR etc) then you can shoot it at 25 yd range standing up. You can also shoot handguns at rifle lanes, as long as the barrel is longer than 3.5 inch (not 100% sure, might be more) and sights are adjustable.
Have fun.
