PA resident buying long gun in Connecticut.
What would the legalities be with a PA resident buying a shotgun in Connecticut?
I know that generally it's legal to purchase a long gun directly from an FFL in another state. But does anyone know of any particular Connecticut laws that might be a problem?

I would assume a Connecticut FFL would know more about it than POOFA people. Call the one that is doing your transfer and ask them.
And you are going thru an FFL. Right?
And untill you cross the Pa border be very careful and have it in a LOCKED case

I happen to be friends with the Vice President of the Connecticut Citizen's Defense League (the state's biggest gun rights group). He says to it would be wise to check with your prospective FFL ahead of time to see if he will even make such a sale (even though it's legal). Dealers are likely to be jittery, especially if you're looking to buy a piece that is not "CT compliant", thought that would be legal too.
Bottom line is PA's laws must be complied with, and CT dealer may or may not be familiar, and may not want to bother learning.
If you can provide a more clear explanation of what you intend, and what your concerns are (even privately), I can get you solid answers. Chris (the VP) is the CT version of me. :D

Just have the firearm mailed to your FFL in PA. No muss or fuss. You're overcomplicating this.
