Indiana Pa Gunshow, S&T Arena, Feb 18-19 2017

The S&T Arena has no information about the show on their page.
I believe it's the Indiana Bow and Gun club that sponsors it, however they don't seem to update their Facebook page with any information either.

The signs around the area say Feb 18-19 at the S&T Arena.

IIRC it was $5 or $7 to get in last time...
IIRC it was 8-5 Saturday, 8-4 Sunday...

It's a good little show, plenty of the private seller types with tables full of "clean out" type stuff.
I've never walked out of this show empty handed, but as I've been told, I like the odd ball stuff so...

If you are a member, maybe suggest they put some show info on their Facebook page at least?

I've had a few guys at work see the signs and asked me about the hours and price to get in.
They couldn't find any info on the S&T Arena site or elsewhere, the club Facebook page is a dead page, months old posts.

Just a friendly suggestion.

39flathead, I tried to get the club to advertise in local media as they had done in years past, or at least send news releases to get the show info out there.
The FB page only seems to get archery info.
By the way, the email came in yesterday evening.
Anyhow, maybe I'll see you at the show.

I'll probably go Saturday am.
I've been buying some guns from a local kitchen table dealer who is almost done disposing of an estate.
He asked me last week about the show,he seen the signs while going to the chiropractor.
I told him I didn't have a clue as to how he could get a table.
It's a shame, he has some surplus that hasn't been around in any quantity for many years.
I'll probably help him set up at the Altoona show.

Is there an Altoona show on the horizon?

Picked up some good deals there last year, but don't see any dates listed for 2017.

Was nice to see most of the tables weren't ones familiar from some of the recurring show circuit.

Most were locals, willing to let you browse there wares, answer any questions, and willing to deal when presented reasonable offers. Granted, it wasn't large, but there weren't large crowds to have to wade through/wait your turn to step up to the table. And the food vendor's fare was fresh cooked/baked and reasonably priced.

From your previous post, it sounds like this upcoming Indiana show is pretty similar, so I'm planning on going Saturday with my son. Will be sure not to traumatize any ice rink patrons and park on the show side of the lot.

Sure hope there's an Altoona show coming up shortly, too...please share the date if you have it! Thanks.

He mentioned he would set up at Altoona, I told him I'd help.
That's all I have.
I'm just along for the ride.

I'll ask him if he has a date for it or if he was just asking for when the time comes.

The Altoona show as promoted by C&E/Showmasters is dead. They were talking about reviving it if they could get enough tables booked but so far only one or two vendors responded a positive yes.

I'll let him know, he mentioned the Gun Collector show but I hate that drive.

On Saturday I picked up some Chinese 7.62X39 on strippers in a USGI can and some GP11 Swiss ammo.
Got a couple leads on other items.

There were lots of private sellers there just looking to unload their own guns.
Even the dealer prices were not bad except for a few guys from the Pittsburgh area thinking it is still October 2016.

If I had had more cash on me to waste on stuff I really didn't need I'd have brought home a use Sig in .40 as well as a Ruger P89 and some Yugo 8mm.
Heck, there was a private seller with a Sig .22 pistol for $200 that told me he'd do $200 including the transfer...
People were looking to move stuff.

I love these little shows, I just wish the people that run this one would learn to promote it properly, I totally forgot to ask about who to contact about settling up a table for the next one.
