Oops...new guy is unfamiliar with the "motherfucker" inside joke here.
He thought you were slammin' him.
Synopsis of the "mofo" thread.
Some guy is observed open carrying a pistol by a forum member. Forum member goes to talk to him (positively, I might add) about it, and before he gets two words in, dude says "Ever heard of the Constitution, motherf*cker!?" OC dude needed to chill out, big time...
It gets brought up when something rights infringey is mentioned in a thread. Sorry you felt attacked.
I didnt feel attacked, its all good. BTDub, I talked to lpd today and was told I would get a call back. I never did. This is the second day in a row that this has happened. They must be very busy in l-dale.
It has been a week and a half and I have not heard back from LPD. I have called and left voice mails 3 times and they have not returned my call.
I just got my new LTCF today at the MontCo courthouse.
It was technically a renewal as the original was about to expire, but on the website it says that since I changed county of residence it would be treated as a new application (need the police check card etc). I walked in and handed them the form I had already filled out along with my check and walked out 20 minutes later with my new license. I was expecting them to tell me I needed the police check card, and was ready to wait the full 45 days but instead was pleasantly surprised.
I do not expect the same experience when my wife gets her first LTCF there......
Picked my renewal up yesterday but had an interesting "quirk". Since I am a naturalized US citizen (from 1976) I threw a passport into my bag before going in. Aside from my first LTCF many years ago, I have never needed to prove citizenship. This time I was asked for a passport once I put my place of birth down. Entertainingly, my passport had been canceled (the two holes in the cover) due to having to get a new one earlier this year with more than six months left on it for a Brazilian visa, and the current passport is at the Brazilian consulate in NYC being processed. However, the expiry date on the cancelled passport is not until November 2015, so it was accepted!! The LTCF was the new laminated type rather than the old "hard card". However, I was in and out in under 20 minutes, mainly due to the cameras not working properly. Dave_n
