The detective may have made that statement but is there such a law on the books?....You don't seem to post very much on pafoa but please do keep us posted as to how this turns out.
I really don't post I come here to read a few things and learn some stuff I might not know lol. I guess I missed the part where it states I cannot have a gun locked in my glove box. This is what the detective told me. But I will def keep everyone updated thank you
Yes, lets.
Firearm was in a locked compartment. Compartment was in a vehicle not owned by the thief. There is no other lawful duty.
First and foremost, people have a duty to not steal other peoples' stuff. The rest really is of no consequence. Fault is always on the thief, if you defer blame on any level it is no different that what anti-gun folks do.
Welcome to Philly where you're first victimized by the criminals, then by the PPD.
The detective is flat out wrong. If you have a LTCF you can store your firearm anywhere that isn't illegal by law. ....legally you can duct tape it to your windshield, to the steering wheel, or even to your forehead. Nowhere in PA's statutes does it prohibit storage within ones glovebox.
BTW, did they confiscate your license?
No as of right now the license is still in my possession! She stated that I would get a letter stating it will be revoked and I should hear from them
