Re: This election, users of this site and our gun rights.
Boo to UJ. I had a really nice snark comment in that thread and it is now gone forever.

I still had it open and was able to go back a page after it was closed.
I copied the original post in it's entirety and saved it.
:)
I didn't get to read about the last 10 posts. It was surprisingly civil up to that point.
Re: This election, users of this site and our gun rights.
I missed the thread this pertains to.
I like to see dissenting opinions posted. It allows me to learn from the responses.
If someone posts a pro-Hillary talking point, and there are several well crafted responses, it makes all of us more effective at responding to similar arguments outside the forum.
Simply banning the speech makes me concerned that we can't, or the admins don't trust us to, effectively rebut the opposition.
I can't stand a Hillary supporter, and such a person should likely be showered with red chicklets. But, I recall the good-old-days when we welcomed those people because we had a number of very well written posters that would shame the opposition while at the same time educating the good-guys.
But, again, I didn't see the thread in question. I suspect that the admin here has the good judgment to allow all but the most extreme cases, and are well aware of slippery-slope concerns.

It was Hillary propoganda and when other's challenged his opinion, he made negative comments about those members' support for Trump. There was a lot of information posted to counter his opinions.
It could have gotten very ugly.

If it's anything about Hillary it's ugly.

I heard if you put with all due respect first it's not considered snarky.
