I only shot it once. It wasn't as bad as I expected. Would have preferred if that hand loop on the pump were able to be cinched up smaller.
I haven't even shot mine yet and already I'm thinking the same thing. Gimme something that'll help almost affix my support hand to the pump and I bet that would be golden. then it can't move in front of the barrel, and will help keep the shotgun from sliding backwards into your face.

I got tired of waiting for tree trimmers to give me a quote so I jumped on craigslist and found a good price for a 95 Chevy 3500HD bucket truck with a locked up 454 motor. Had a friend tow it home for me and as promised the bucket works fine off its generator, just had to jump it. Now to start tearing into the motor and find out if it is repairable or if it needs replaced. Should be able to trim my trees and sell it for double or triple what I paid after the motor work and cleaning up a few things.
I've never used a bucket truck before and I giggled the whole time I sailed over my driveway testing it out.
I almost bought a bucket truck the other day for the same reason. I still might.

eta: also, if the motor is done, why not just weld up an a-frame type attachment to the front, and treat the whole thing as a trailer.
The guy I bought it from warned me everyone would be asking to borrow it haha.
I'm perfectly capable of fixing a motor or swapping one out, and by fixing it I'm making it worth significantly more than I paid, so when I'm done with it (if I ever get tired of the bucket truck life) I will be able to make some money on it. Also, dragging it around the yard with my kubota just sounds annoying.

Mrs EM wants to know if you wanna bring it over here to hang Christmas lights.
I have a saying that goes like this... "Fuck ladders". LOL

I'm in the same place looking at pick up based dump trucks that will double as a snowplow and towing vehicle. Tired of dealing with all the local lazy asses that say they'll show up and never do or show up, do half the job and never come back leaving piles of stone and dirt everywhere. I calculated it's cheaper and more time effective to do the work myself than dealing with these clowns that have stalled projects for the past decade.

LOL I will have to make up a rates table for everything from Christmas lights to gutter cleaning.
I just need the rain to stop so I can work on it in the driveway.
