I'm aware things aren't business as usual, but it seems some people are blaming the " stay at home order" for things that aren't happening because of the order.
Business is down because people stopped moving around and going out based on recommendations from federal and state levels, long before any enforceable orders were given.
The order went into effect two days ago here, nothing changed, businesses that were open three days ago are still open, businesses that were closed three days ago are still closed, traffic is exactly the same as it was three days ago.

OK, no, it's a bit different here. Restaurants are all closed, construction sites are closed, mfg has ceased, and traffic is like it used to be on Sundays when blue laws were in effect.

Same here, but it was like that last week, before the order, so it couldn't have happen because of the order.

So you are at home because of "lack of work", not because of "the stay at home order".
I'm in the same boat. My manufacturing company has lots of inventory and dropping demand. We closed for two weeks even though we are "essential". I actually see it as a positive in my case. I've seen the business cycles at my employer long enough to know that shutdowns were on the horizon. The virus got my UC claim opened with the usual waiting week waived. I think I'll have additional weeks off later in the year, even when the virus "crisis" has mostly blown over, so any "extra" money from Uncle Sam will be laid back for that.
