XM855 Federal 5.56 Ammo Bulk Vs Boxed American Eagle Question
I ordered 1000 rounds of Federal 5.56 62 gr green tips. I was expecting a bulk loose pack box but instead got 2 cases of Federal XM855F 5.56 62 gr ball American Eagle 25 boxes 20 rounds. The ammo in the boxes looks the same as other Federal ammo I have seen. Is there any difference between 20 round boxed Federal American Eagle and the bulk 1000 round loose box from Federal? Thanks.

I dunno, but where did you order it, and was it a good price? I'm interested in getting some.

For anyone who may want to know.
I contacted Federal and they told me the ammo is the same and manufactured at Lake City.

They are the same. The packaging is the only difference and they are manufactured by LCAAP [Lake City Army Ammunition Plant].
Thank you

Is there any difference between the Federal XM855 sold in bulk 1000 round cases and the Federal XM855F American Eagle sold in 20 round boxes. I recently ordered the 1000 round bulk but was given the 20 round boxes. I would like to know if the ammunition is the same in each item, and if both are manufactured in the Lake City plant. I am a big fan of Federal Ammunition. Thank you very much.
