Beaver Valley IDPA March Match
Cost is $10 per Match; $5 for a re-shoot
Registrations open @ 9:30 AM
Match Time is 10 AM - 2 PM (Last Shots Fired)
Beaver Valley operates a COLD RANGE as well as a LOST BRASS Match
Our matches will be challenging enough for experienced shooters who wish to work on their skills and speed in preparation for larger matches as well as a fun learning experience for less seasoned shooters.
It is not our intention to discourage shooters from participating, however, there is a minimum degree of competent firearms handling that is required as per the rules of IDPA. Most importantly, your safety, the safety of your fellow shooters and the Safety Officers working the stages requires safe gun handling skills.
Less experienced shooters are encouraged to be familiar with the basics of IDPA as stated in the Official IDPA Rulebook which is available on-line at www.IDPA.com. Shooters who are not familiar with the IDPA shooting discipline may also greatly benefit from attending a match for the sole purpose of observation. We have been fortunate to have very experienced shooters from all skill levels participate at our match. These folks are excellent examples of what IDPA is all about and worth watching & learning from.
It is our goal to provide you with a shooting experience that is challenging, exciting, and fun, but above all, SAFE!
Hope to see you at the range!

Re: Beaver Valley IDPA March Match
What constitutes a "match"? The whole day of shooting is $10 or is each stage $10? Also how much ammunition is recommended for the day?
I am new to this so I may just come watch.
Re: Beaver Valley IDPA March Match
Its $10 to go through all the stages once. I think there are usually 5 stages(I've only been there twice). I'm not sure how the $5 reshoot works.
As for ammo, I'd bring at minimum 100 rds. The amount can vary depending on the stages and if you take extra shots(when applicable). It never hurts to bring to much.
I would definitely come watch if you don't feel ready to shoot. The guys at BVRPC are great at helping new people into IDPA. It's a really laid back environment, unless you are proving yourself unsafe. Safety is the most important thing to keep in mind and you'll be fine.
I'll also add for your first few matches do not worry about speed. If you think about speed you'll most likely miss or do something wrong. Such as forgetting a mandatory reload or order of targets.

Re: Beaver Valley IDPA March Match
$10 is for all 5 stages. Reshoot is do all 5 stages over again. Bring 200 rounds for both rounds. Come ready to shoot. They are very supportive of first timers.
