Best "informal" targets for shooting
My family is again planning an annual shoot at our farm in Missouri.
We have steel & paper & similar of course. But part of the fun is shooting non-traditional targets: Primarily selected for low-cost and 'shootability'
Last year's most-popular targets included:
- Melons
- Cabbages
- Shaving cream cans
- Room freshener cans
- Misc canned goods, esp. tomatoes
- Engine "starting fluid" cans (ether) with lit 'sparklers' next to it.
We're planning this fall's trip and I was wondering what other non-traditional things folks might have found amusing to shoot...

And yes, FWIW, any of you's nutbags crazy enough to drive out to rural MO in mid-September... Lemme know and you're welcome to join.
This'll probably be the last year for it. The folks never go there, none of us kids are local or want to take the place on, so it's getting put up for sale early 2019...

I believe you're thinking of Arkansas.
But if "you got a pretty mouth, boy" we could gin something up...

At 100 yards with a rifle, bricks are fun. turn to a cloud of dust.

bowling balls painted in creepy neon colors are always nice.

Sounds great! Just have to reach out to a local bowling alley and see if we can get some "too far gone" examples for cheap. Buying 'em new is certainly WAY outside the budget!

Definitely gonna give that a try!

Have you tried tannerite ? One pound of tannerite can be made into smaller amounts. Small pill size containers will stretch it out. Its not all that expensive considering all the other one shot items you mentioned.
