I would kindly like to bring urgent awareness to PLOS and the authors of this study, and the globe, the USA Section 21 C.F.R. 589.2000, Animal Proteins Prohibited in Ruminant Feed ban has been a failed policy since inception imo (see DEFRA report below), also, cervid that are potentially at risk of Chronic Wasting Disease CWD TSE Prion, are still allowed to be used as protein feed for livestock. But foremost, CWD and Scrapie TRANSMITS TO PIGS BY ORAL ROUTE. please see many many more tonnages of 589.2000, Animal Proteins Prohibited in Ruminant Feed right up to 2017. this is an extremely dangerous situation for the globe, especially with this new outbreak of TSE Prion disease in a new livestock species, i.e. camels in Nigeria, this is an extremely dangerous situation that has global ramifications and needs to be addressed asap, or risk spreading cwd tse prion from the USA and Canada further around the globe. please see;

What exactly does this mean?
Based on your prior posts, this isn't exactly a new issue for you, but doing a data dump here without some personal narrative about how this affects hunters (other than the scary scary stuff of CWD), may be less credible than you providing a personal opinion on how this may play out in PA.
Any thoughts you may wish to share?
You realize, of course, how counties may be affected by the possible declining interest in hunting based on your post. And they're going to lose $$$$$$ in hunting permit revenue. And Lowes and Home Depot are gonna see a decline in the purchase of chest freezers - time to short their stocks???? And those who process the game are going to see hard times ahead?
If your effort is to save lives, this most certainly counts. If it's a hunter's beware notice, it also counts.
More important than the data dump you posted would be your opinion on the data...or your interpretation.
Is it OK to ask if you're a hunter in PA? Are you employed by a governmental agency (or quasi) that has discovered something and are simply sharing what you already know?

Between CWD and the lantern flies it looks like the wrath of God is upon us. I know that Hatfield controls their products from conception to processing and it sounds like a good time to stick to their products.
