Anyone have a bead on a good FAL gunsmith in or near NEPA? Have an Imbel parts kit that needs to be barreled and headspaced.
Thanks!

Have you checked with jc Blauvelt? He’s a local guy and has been doing all my work for me.
I did, and he doesn't have the correct FAL receiver block and barrel vise. Going to ship this over to Mark at ARS this weekend; he's the gold standard for FAL builds anyway. If I have anything out of spec with either the Imbel parts or my Entreprise type 3 receiver, he'll be able to fix it. I was thinking about doing this myself, but it's about $200 for the block and vise; then I need to buy various sizing pins to determine the correct locking shoulder which would then have to be bought. On top of that, I can't seem to find my Forster 7.62N gauges anywhere. When all is said and done, it's about the same to have someone else do it and if there's something out of whack, I don't know enough about FALs to start screwing with it.
Don't know if my case is a one off, but Mark said he'd work on it. This is the second if two EAI type 3 receivers I had purchased in early 2000. The first I had built with an STG58 parts kit. It went together and functioned just fine. Unfortunately I sold it some years back and regret doing so.
This second receiver will be built using an Imbel parts kit. I've already fitted the lower and checked the bolt carrier; both seem to mate just fine with the upper. So I believe the receiver is good to go.
I believe the earlier Entreprise receivers were considered "good", the later ones not so much.
I do that work.
I may be too far for you though.
