How to Appeal License Revocation?
Please keep the reply to this topic specifically on topic.
I'm looking for information on how to file an appeal to a revocation by a county Sherrif in Washington County.
I have 30 days per lawyer, and I know that I must file the appeal through the Prothonotary's office.
I want to do this without a Lawyer and if I loose I'll just re-apply next year as I have just moved to another county since the revocation took place.
Anyone have a sample of a form that needs filed?? A pleading? etc?
I can do this my self.
I'm looking for some one to help.

You will need a lawyer... I'm sure everyone will tell you this... At least if you want your LTCF back--ever.
If the revocation is unlawful, then you need to appeal it.... who knows if the new place you move will grant you a LTCF, since your last one was revoked?
A few folks have successfully had their license reinstated thanks to their lawyers and the help of the PAFOA community.
See: http://www.pafoa.org/forum/concealed...lls-ocing.html for starters...
Care to share any general information on this?

Re: How to Appeal License Revocation?
Just spoke to Deputy Sheriff Jones of the Washington County Sheriffs office. (Primary Phone: 724-228-6840) I asked what the process was to appeal a revocation. While he didn't want to speak about any specifics, he did state that under Federal law, if you are under a PFA, you have to wait for it to expire.* If it was at the request of another law enforcement officer, you would need to retain an attorney and have a letter draft. I asked if there was any publicly available forms to fill out, he said "No, need an attorney."
*His statement, not verified by me.

Re: How to Appeal License Revocation?
From the PA UNIFORM FIREARMS ACT (UFA), partial quote:
"An individual whose license is revoked may appeal to
the court of common pleas for the judicial district in which the
individual resides".
For the full UFA, see here and search the page for "revoked".
Re: How to Appeal License Revocation?
Did they send you a registered letter explaining why it was revoked? That letter should also explain how to appeal.

I take issue with this. The York County Sheriff reportedly told someone the same thing. Apparently, some Sheriffs believe that they are to conduct the appeals process themselves, which is ludicrous, since they are a party to the action and clearly have a conflict of interest.
An attorney is highly recommended. Whether you use one or not, your recourse is through the Court of Common Pleas for your county, and nowhere else.
Re: How to Appeal License Revocation?
I'm getting 10 replys, none of which contain a form, or a link to a sample form or document to be filed for Appeal.
I've tried searching the internet on Appeal of Statutory Law and cant find a
"Petition of Appeal" or "Notice of Appeal" sample document anywhere.
The reasons and details surrounding this will all get discussed later, I just need pointed in the right documentation direction.
Re: How to Appeal License Revocation?
i think it's been pointed out pretty clearly that you "Need to Lawyer Up"

The bold italic is what you need to look at. No there isn't any forms online. Whether or not you need a lawyer or not, I have no clue. Don't know what you did to get revoked (nor do I care), so I can't answer that part.
