Virgina Sheriff Vows To Deputize Thousands
Sheriff Scott Jenkins (Culpepper County) is firmly against any more gun restrictions in Virginia. Recently he said: "Every Sheriff and Commonwealth Attorney in Virginia will see the consequences if our General Assembly passes further unnecessary gun restrictions. Red Flag laws without due process will create enormous conflict as well. America has more guns than citizens and murder has long been illegal. At best, the proposed gun restrictions will disarm or handicap our law-abiding in their defense and possibly cause a criminal to choose another tool for evil".
He continued: "I remain very optimistic that our General Assembly will not pass the proposed bills. Obviously, if passed, there are many of us willing to challenge these laws through the courts. In addition, if necessary, I plan to properly screen and deputize thousands of our law-abiding citizens to protect their constitutional right to own firearms".
Now that's a Sheriff I would vote for in a heartbeat! It's elected officials like him who are now front and center when it comes to these ridiculous gun laws that Democrats seem hell bent on forcing on the populace. Sheriff Jenkins, I thank you sir for standing up for the Constitution of the United States.

Perhaps Bloomturd and the Virginia assembly he purchased may have awoken a sleeping giant.

Sounds like a stand up Sherriff to me. He would have my vote if In were a resident.
Re: Virgina Sheriff Vows To Deputize Thousands
OR
deputizing thousands of gun owners would require those gun owners to come forward, basically gun registration.

Loosen up the Tin Foil. It’s starting to leave a mark on your forehead.

Thanks chief. I forgot for a second about how trustworthy government employees are.

Wow!! I'm surprised. When I moved from Northern Va. sixteen years ago, Culpepper was becoming a lot like Fairfax, so I imagine it's really a hotbed of liberals from other states now. I'll have to see if the Sheriff has a FB page.

It would also give them a legal basis to actually resist with force, attempts to confiscate them.
