I've been an act 235 agent for the past 6 years I recently renewed my ACT 235 and and applied for my concealed carry permit and was denied and all they said was my character was bad and I owe $200 how do I deal with this. I'm going to court to find out what the $200 is for and pay it but any advice on how to deal with this thanks.
Ok.. let's start with the fact that PA does not have or issue a "Concealed Carry permit".. sounds trivial but legally it is not trivial.Quote:

Methinks there is more to the story.
There is no $200 fee to clear up a character issue. I am guessing the OP has outstanding fines and they are saying that not payment by them is a character issue.
More to the story: Look where the OP lives. Wouldn't surprise me if the source of the "bad character $200 owed" was a traffic camera ticket....Quote:

Yep and it sucks that they couldn't just tell the guy what the two hundred bucks is owed for specifically.Assuming that that is the case,it's bad enough he wasted all that time and was denied because of an unpaid bill.
Try getting a strait answer from an employee of the "city of brotherly love", whether it's about real estate taxes, deed information or code requirements just to name a few. Does anyone really expect help related to a LTFC?
I think the employees have to take lessons to aggravate people.
