Im a trail rider, low impact, relatively low noise, and speed. I like going new places and exploring. Thats why i have a street legal dual sport. I stay out of areas with signage. I have also been flagged down in areas i thought were part of my legal riding areas(that i pay yearly memberships for), and informed i was no longer on club property and kindly asked me to head back. I did with no problem. Signs are easy to see, paint, maybe not so much and it can wear. Also, whats the ecological impact? How many fucktards are gunna buy any purple enamels or latex, etc.?
Also,
If right down the road from your driveway, was a road. That went back into the forest, no signs, no gates. Not even a mailbox or anything of the sort. One day out of curiosity you pull it up on google maps. Still cant make anything out. Sure doesnt appear to be any structures. Just slowly tapers down but continues on.
You wouldnt ever wanna turn down that road?
Theres no legal reason you cant to my knowledge.

The next thing will be that the purple paint must produce a reflected light within a specific range of wavelengths to be legal.
For blaze orange there is a rule and that's how they get you is your hat is faded from the sun.
Then there is the question of what to do about people that are color blind.

If you read the actual textual changes, it applies to all trespass. It's being incorrectly suggested in the press that it only applies to hunting trespass but that's not the case. It's not a game law change, it's an addition to 3503, which is "defiant/criminal trespass" - in any circumstance.

Is this a backdoor way to fuck with gunowners?
I.E. gives signage full legal standing, such as walmarts and others NO GUNS signs?
Like if you get caught you could potentially lose the right to even own said firearms?

One last thing, purple tho? Funny, colors of the color revolutions, and so much more.

Interesting. Who lobbied the legislature for this change? It seems to me that this is a solution in search of a problem at the very least, and maybe something worse if you are right. In any event, don't count on this being an effective trespassing deterrent anytime soon.
Re: Purple Paint Law In PA. indicating No Tresspassing / Hunting.
I have a feeling if walk past a tree with some purple paint on it and the cops bust you for trespassing you could probably get out of it. Just say Huh......Purple means what? Who heard of that? I would think a judge might agree too. You can't give a secret sign and expect everyone to know what it means.
Or lets just say you would have a better chance than if you walked by some No Trespassing signs.

Sorry, ignorance of the law is no excuse*.
*unless you're a cop, politician, government agency.

They'll only be arrested for walking past the purple if their purse doesn't match.

Maybe we should stop using printed traffic signs and just put up colored squares that mean the same thing. There should be enough colors to cover everything.
But randomly painting a tree or a post Purple is supposed to have a meaning? WTF were they thinking?
