OC is generally legal in WV, but i think they have a law saying it is not legal in national forests.
or, more specifically, they have a laws saying guns must be unloaded and cased in national forests...but they have an exception for concealed carry license holders who are carrying concealed.
since WV and PA now have reciprocity, you can CC in a national forest in WV, but i don't think you can legally OC.
disclaimer: i am not nearly as up to speed on WV laws as PA laws, so i could be wrong, but this is my understanding.

Based on the linked info above, it looks like licensed CC is permitted in the National Forest. There is also no statewide preemption, and at least two municipalities prohibit OC (Charleston & Dunbar), so unless you're sure, CC might be best start to finish.
how do you figure that? it seems to me like CC is allowed if you have a carry license.
Quote:
The second exception to this law allows people with a concealed weapon permit to carry a loaded, concealed, handgun either on their person or in their vehicle while on National Forest.
yeah, i hear ya.
it was actually hard for me to type the "while on National Forest." part of the quote i cited.
i mean, what the heck does it mean to be "on national forest"?
perhaps "in a national forest" or "on national forest land"?
geesh. ya'd think they would proof read something before releasing it for official public consumption.
Thanks for the replies, guess no OC for me at least on National Forest. :)
