Re: Consolidating classifieds
This is a privately owned entity not regulated by any gubment rules or regulations and the owner has the right to deny access to anyone they want and/or restrict activity as well. If they were unhappy about it in any way they could contact the individual(s) and ask (or tell) them to change their ways any way they see fit. Activity like the aforementioned ads does cause otherwise unnecessary rules to be put in place.

Yes sir everything you have said is correct. They are breaking no rules, maybe trolling a bit. But niether am I or anyone else who wish to bump this thread every day or every twelve hours.
Maybe the bumping of adds should be eliminated.
Re: Consolidating classifieds
Perhaps send them a PM on each posted item saying you're not interested? It will at the least clog up the message boxes.
Re: Consolidating classifieds
I've been here 7+ years and yes, Nancy has had much of the same items the entire time. At what point does the seller realize this isn't the market, the prices are too high, and no one wants old VHS tapes?
A bump only takes a second but this guy has collectively wasted weeks he will never recover.
He should have donated it all to Goodwill and taken the tax receipt. Now that the standard deductible has doubled there's no point unless you can amass $24K in donations.

You don't think his collection is worth at least $24k?
Re: Consolidating classifieds
Really? Geeze.
We don't need to establish a system, or set of new rules to deal with this.
By several accounts, "Nancy," is a decent dude. The admin could tell him to knock it off. If Nancy wants to be an ass about it, get rid of him. Private property. I'm sure something similar would work for the other sales person.
And, for us plebes... if you don't like seeing the ad for old vhs tapes, hit it with a neg rep. The admin and mods here would have a hard time not removing someone that that the community clearly dosen't want here.
Would you buy something online from a seller that had only one star? On this forum, rep matters more for classifieds than anything else. If you are hesitant to neg-rep the person, shoot them a PM. State your case, and ask their position. Make your decision from there.

Re: Consolidating classifieds
Personally It doesn’t bother me, and it makes for a good joke and laugh from time to time.
