I just looked him up. 14th district.
Former JAG corps, judge, state Sen.
I'd vote for him if I lived there.
Agree. He’s our kind of guy...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guy_Reschenthaler
His bio gives me freedom wood. I'm surprised his name hasn't surfaced before.
Good guy. His office is down the road. I first met him at one of our sportsman's club meetings when he was first running.
I sent Rep. Reschenthaler a letter stating my opposition to the wars in the Middle East and with the question as to whether the president had the authority to go to war with Iran, in particular, without a formal declaration of war by the U.S. Congress as required by the U.S. Constitution.
His answer back was full support for the president to act on his own without question.
That is the same neo-con mindset that feeds the USMIC, from whence this career politician emanates.
In his freshman term, he has learned to ignore the U.S. Constitution and its safeguards.
One never sees him in the district.
I would never vote him.
Article II does not grant the president the power to declare war.
In the interventionist construct, any incident anywhere is an imminent threat and a vital national security interest to the USMIC. This is a prescription for perpetual war.
Recently, President Trump nearly gave his assent (thankfully, he did not) to attack Iran for downing an unmanned drone, which by the most corroborated accounts violated Iranian airspace 8,000 miles away from the U.S mainland.
