I also live in Philly...lived in different parts, some good and some that were not so good, and like I said,I never felt the need to be prepared for an all out gun battle everytime I come out of my house.

Oh the horror as 300 round clips of silent carnage are being unleashed on the once peaceful city.
Re: How difficult is getting a silencer in Philadelphia?
I might have to look into getting one for my mp5 before some stupid obstacle is thrown up or some kind of change is made.

If the clip holds 300 rounds, just how much does the magazine hold?

The usage of the word "clip" sure seems to trigger some people around here.

Using correct terminology is always correct. Think otherwise? Next time refer to your wife as your husband, see how well that goes over.

I didn't say that it wasn't,I just don't notice the types of replies for other slang terms that that one garners around here.

Check out Dennis Todd; he lives just outside the City.
Pardon me for not having his phone numbers at my finger tips.
He's THE best person I know in the Class III world around Philly. He helped me buy a M16A1 back in 2003.
By the way: The closest I'll ever willingly get in to Philly proper is going through on I76.

Getting serious now. I am thinking about getting some sort of suppressor to include in my home defense system.
I currently have an alarm system, steel doors and have dowels set to secure my sash windows. I have a plan for any sign of forced entry to include a safe location to retreat, a cell phone, a N frame S&W revolver and a 20 gauge shotgun within arms reach in my bed room. I also have a pair of electronic ear protectors to use if time permits.
Firing any non-suppressed weapon in either of my small bed rooms would effect my hearing for a time. With that in mind I am considering a 22lr or 9mm suppressed pistol.
How much of a hassle is it to get through the process in Philadelphia?
If you have experience I'd appreciate hearing about.
I should add that I do live in an area with a lot of crime. I don't leave the house w/o a primary and back up gun.
Not meaning to be a wise ass but with all that effort, I'd seriously consider moving.

True that. The tax savings alone would have been enough reason.
