I bought my first glock today...really...
Never owned a polymer or striker fired pistol. I decided to go for a glock 17 gen 3.
From what I can tell, it is in good shape and whoever owned it put some money into it. It has an upgraded guide rod. I can't confirm it but I also believe the trigger has work done to get the pull down. I pulled it against a gen 4 and the difference was really obvious.
I handled a lot of striker guns today and I have to say, they almost universally had great feeling triggers. Not like a hammer fired gun. But really nothing to complain about...especially when compared to bad hammer fired triggers (like a p38 double action pull).
I decided on Glock for accessories, magazine, resale, etc.
Now I have to clean it (caked up with grease inside) and run it through its paces.

Congrats! You won't be disappointed. Or maybe you will... Who knows :D

I hate mine!
HAHAHAHA!
No. Really - I would sell it yesterday, but my wife likes it.
Only thing it's good for is shooting groups the size of outstretched arms! :p
I shoot just about any other gun better than this thing.
Millions of other people have nothing but love for them, so I'm sure you will be fine.

Regardless of what it did or didn’t have done to it you hopefully paid no more than four hundred dollars for it. For that money you have a pistol which will outperform most shooters. Enjoy it and do so safely, let us know how it goes.

Ha! I'm a lefty...Glock is the friendliest ambi I've come across so I stick with it, especially since I don't like crossing calibers. They have several versions of 9mm, so economically, a 9mm Glock is perfection across pistol platforms for a lefty like me.

Cross-dressing is enough, let alone cross-calibering.

I tend to prefer other pistols at the range, but when it comes to carry, it's more often than not a Glock.

379$.
I know what to expect. I've shot plenty of glocks. Seems like every time I go to the range with a friend, they end up sticking one in my hands anyway.
