So I just picked up a Shield9 and it didn't come with any paperwork that you get with a brand new one or a box/case.
Besides giving S&W a call or e-mailing them, is there any other way of finding out the date of manufacture?

RE: How to date your S&W Shield:
Sorry. I like my guns, but I don't like them in THAT way...
Did you Google the serial number, or at least Shield serial numbers in general?
P. S. My Shield has a barcode on the right side behind the trigger. Its the kind that you can scan with your phone. I never tried it. Maybe there is something you can find and do with yours.
Champagne and candlelight?
Remember, if you can't lick it don't stick it.
CLP and a bore brush?
Take it out for a game of pocket pool.
tickle it's trigger, 100% sure way to get it to pop. but keep in mind it's no more than 13...so that's kinda creepy.
