I had my LTCF from Lehigh County, cost me $25 and two Lehigh county residents as references who were not contacted.
Easy! worst part was going into downtown Allentown. I hope they build that hockey arena on the waterfront.

$25? Strange, it only cost me $20. You have one advantage over me, though, as you got yours one week earlier than I did. To be honest, I was surprised it didn't take longer than the stated 4-6 weeks.
Otherwise, I put down two Lehigh county residents as references who were not contacted either. Frankly, the whole experience was easy -- another surprising thing.
The OP applied before the price drop from $25 to $20.
15 days may be within the law, but it is still abhorrent.
I applied only a little later in May. By some sort of luck, I managed to apply shortly after the pricedrop? Nice. :D
According to my paperwork, I applied on March 18, 2011. And dang! Yes I did pay $25.
Good for you, $20. Where's my refund?? :)
15 days? That's 14 days, 23 hours, and 45 minutes more than what it took my wife to get hers. Here in Lackawanna is a 15 minute affair. Walk in, hand the papers, smile for the camera, pay the fee, and walk out with a shiny new LTCF.
Man, I hate that. About two weeks after I applied, another member on PAFOA told me he got his LTCF from Doylestown and he was also able to get his right away.
It is possible for residents in one area to get their LTCF in another area, correct? I should try to find out what place is the fastest, cheapest, and least anal (e.g. Lehigh County demanding two references that lives in that county).
