Last weekend myself and a group of guys went out to Wing Pointe in the Hamburg, PA vicinity. I have been to Wing Pointe a total of five times now and finally remembered to bring along my Flip. Took some random clips and put together a little video...
What I like about Wing Pointe;
- Very friendly trappers
- A round of skeet only costs $5
- Not crowded during winter months
What I dislike about Wing Pointe;
- Every station is a true pair
- You can end up waiting for a trapper when it gets busy
- Many of the stations feature quartering-away shots at various heights
Now I just need more practice!

Re: Wing Pointe - Sporting Clays
I love that place! my buddy used to be a guide, and they had to trim branches to clear lanes, but got to do it by shooting rental shotguns at them! best high school job I've ever even heard of.
let me know if you guys are willing to let me tag along sometime. I'm not much good, but I do have a good time.

If you are ever in the York area on a Sunday be sure to give Starview a try. Its a great course, 50 birds are currently $11 for nonmembers, everyone is very friendly, & there is a snack bar with burgers etc if you get hungry.

I don't make it to the York area very often, but if I ever do I'll take your advice. A snack bar with burgers sounds like a nice touch!

Re: Wing Pointe - Sporting Clays
We are fortunate to live close to the oldest still-active sporting clays club in the country - Southend Gun Club, founded in 1886. They have "practice" shoots every Wed. morning and every Fri. night. Range is very well lit for night shoot ing - looks like a football field. All trap houses are microphone controlled and the people are friendly and very courteous, especially to beginners. The club is located a mile of so off of Rt. 422 in Exeter Township. Turn right at the Wawa and follow it to Loraine Rd. (If you know where Painted Sky Rd. is, you can also come in from that side.)
