SIGHTS Practical Shooter Practice

I've been interested in joining wssa specifically for the sights idpa practice/matches however I have never been and new to idpa. How would I get into the gate and where exactly is practice located at? I would like to attend this Thursday then go to the monthly meeting to become a member later this month.
