H&K recoil spring

I am a 1911 nut. Always have been. However, I am starting to carry my H&K P30. Does anyone know how to change the recoil spring on this gun. Many H&Ks have the same setup. I cant figure it out and H&K doesnt reply when I e-mail them.

its like my 45 compact, ya just pinch the end of the guide rod, remove the retaining washer, and change the spring.

thats it.

Thanks.I was afraid to sqeeze it together.I thought it might bend together and not spring back.The manual doesnt say anything about the recoil spring.Do you know where I can order replacement springs?

probably best to order one form HK-USA themselves.

call the customer service number in the manual.

Wolff gunsprings does not carry them.

probably best to get the recoil buffer too...they do degrade.
