Christian Zaccagni Sr. said he forgot the firearm, which he said weighs three ounces, was in his coat. Zaccagni said the firearm was discovered during anatomy class. He claimed to be a nursing student at the college.
Zaccagni, 47, of Dana Street, Wilkes-Barre, was arraigned by District Judge Donald Whittaker on charges of firearms not to be carried without a license and possession of a firearm on school property. He was jailed at Luzerne County Prison for lack of $10,000 bail.
Police said the firearm was a .38 caliber handgun, according to arrest papers.

Stupid. Bet this guy thought he didn't need the minimal hassle involved in getting a licence
Re: LCCC student caught with gun on campus
umm, what .38spl gun weighs 3 ounces? Some terrible reporting as usual. How exactly was the gun discovered, and since when is it illegal to possess a gun on a college campus?

Security officers found the gun after reporting to a classroom for the report of a man "displaying erratic behavior." During a pat-down search, officers felt the gun, a .380 caliber automatic handgun.
"I accidentally walked in school with it. I made a bad mistake and it's going to cost me," he told reporters at his arraignment in front of Magisterial District Judge Donald Whittaker.

I wonder if he has his LTCF? The article in the OP leads us to believe he may be in violation there. Interesting to see how this plays out.
Re: LCCC student caught with gun on campus
He's being charged because hes a student. A non student with a LTCF is permitted unless there is signage forbidding firearms.

That sucks if I'm misreading it, Can you post a link where I can get the correct info? I think my mistake was ignoring that we are a "shall issue" and not the "right to carry" state. My bad, Thanks for the correction.
