New to firearms
I am looking to purchase my first firearm in the next couple months. The firearm will serve two purposes one for home defense and to go to the range. My question is there a place where I can rent firearms to try out that is close to the riverwards section since septa is my means of transportation.
Thanks

Re: New to firearms
I had to look that up. The River Wards area is roughly bounded by Frankford Street, Front Street, Kensington Avenue, the Frankford Creek’s original course, and the Delaware and principally includes Fishtown, New Kensington, Port Richmond, and Bridesburg.
Go to Google maps, search gun ranges, use that to plot how to get there. As an example: The 25 bus will get you to the Firing line on S Front St (grabbed Aramingo $ Castor as a rough location for the River Wards) in about 40 minutes with little walking, The other ranges that pop up are Double Tap and The Gun Range. You can check these in the where to spend money section of the forum: http://forum.pafoa.org/forumdisplay.php?f=17
Good luck and happy hunting!

Re: New to firearms
Did you ever get a chance to try out or rent some guns? I live at Girard and 2nd st, am a member at the gun range on spring garden and have a variety of guns you can try, and I need a shooting buddy in the neighborhood. Let me know if you wanna shoot.
