Re: Best Revolver for WC's ?
There are two that will suffice. The 6" S&W Model 14 (K38) which was designed as a target revolver. If you look around, you will find a blued version. Target sights and a magnificent trigger. The other, if you can find one, would be the S&W Model 52. This is a 5" steel-framed version of the Model 39. Designed as a target semiauto for 38 mid-range wadcutters and the heads must be level with the top of the cartridge case to function. Look for a 52-2 and be prepared to pay. Spare mags are around $50-55 and hold 5 rounds. I have both and they are magnificent for 0.38 special wadcutters. Do not try any others, unless you can find the "rare as hens teeth" Model 14 with the 8 3/8ths barrel. Dave_n

My Performance Center 327 M&P R8 prints wadcutters like it was bench rested. Yes, it is in .357 Mag, yet there is no appreciable difference in accuracy that I can tell. She has a 5 inch barrel and is an 8 shooter.
Re: Best Revolver for WC's ?
If you are just looking for suggestions, I would recommend a Colt Officers model Target. If you can find one in good shape, it will likely be capable of more accuracy than you. Or, if you can stand an 8-inch barrel, get a Python Target in .38.
Re: Best Revolver for WC's ?
S&W 15 with 4" and 6" barrels are easy to find, and great guns for target use. S&W 67 is the stainless version. all are 38 spcl with adjustable sights, and double as service/carry guns with hot loads.
