Open Carry on a motorcycle thoughts?
I generally CC everywhere, but I'm thinking of open carrying on my SV650 this summer for comfort's sake. I feel like trying to conceal IWB under my heavy motorcycle jacket will be uncomfortable and the gun will end up showing anyways when my jacket rides up. My thoughts were something like a paddle holster with a retention button, but I don't want to draw attention to myself from the "OH MY GOD HE HAS A GUN ON A MOTORCYCLE HE'S AN OUTLAW" crowd. I don't ride through towns very much anyways and I'm generally alone or in a small group riding mountain roads. Just looking for some input on this.

Generally, if you ask to ask yourself if you should do something for fear of negative repercussions, the answer is "no, don't do it."
Re: Open Carry on a motorcycle thoughts?
I've been "open" carrying on my motorcycles since I first started carrying a couple years ago.
No troublesome encounters with anyone. The only thing I've noticed is some out of state cars point fingers, take photos, or stop tailgating me. :)
Could be because my all Hi-Viz riding gear screams "safety geek".
I live in the Lehigh Valley. So most of my "open" carrying on a motorcycle is within 50 miles of the Lehigh Valley.
With a few excursions through North Philly and along I-95 and I-476.
Personally I think you will not have any issues.
Just my .02

After trying on one of my belt holsters with my motorcycle jacket, it looks like the most comfortable way is with the majority of the gun covered under the jacket, about an inch of barrel shows when I'm leaned over like I would be on the bike. Attempting to put the jacket on the inside of the holster for true "open" carry makes it bunch up uncomfortably.

Browse at the holster rigs some of these riders are using:

Re: Open Carry on a motorcycle thoughts?
I don't see what difference riding a bike makes. I drive a black rat rod looking 4x4. I guess people could think "Road Warrior" but I doubt much thought is given to it

I had considered just going with a smaller gun in a pocket holster, such as my LC9s (of course I just sold a J Frame), but I'll probably just end up OWB with my Glock 19 under the jacket and not worry about it. Thanks for the advice, your first hand experience seems like enough to convince me not to worry about it.

The difference would be that your gun is most likely hidden by the vehicle? Riding a bike its right out in the open.
Re: Open Carry on a motorcycle thoughts?
I know you need a LTCF to carry in a car, open or concealed, how about a motorcycle?
