How to give a pistol as a Christmas gift.
So I wanna buy my gf a glock 19. We live together in PA. We both can pass the PICS check. I'm probably looking for a used one. How do I go about gifting her this pistol without me buying one and paying the transfer fee and then going to a FFL the day after Xmas and paying the transfer fee again to get it in her name. Is there another way? We both have LTCFs if that makes a difference

Gift certificate.

Unless your girlfriend is your mother, or grandmother (ewww) (or father/grandfather - double ewww), you can't "gift" it without a transfer.

Get married.
But seriously the gift certificate is the best idea.

Yep , pay for it , get a gift certificate , put a picture of a Glock in the card , and have her pick it up , do the paperwork.

Since she is a girlfriend, you can not gift her a physical firearm. Gifting of a firearm is only legal between parent/child, grandparent/grandchild, and husband/wife. Best way to accomplish getting your girlfriend a firearm for Christmas is a gift certificate to the local store.

well... there are some pretty isolated parts of PA.
best part about luvvin kin is you already know all about them and you don't gotta do none of that fancy name changing.
Re: How to give a pistol as a Christmas gift.
If she is not family in the legal sense and not a prohibited person ,The 4473 is explicit ( ARE YOU BUYING THIS FIREARM FOR YOURSELF ? ) Go with a Gift Certificate !
Re: How to give a pistol as a Christmas gift.
Why not just take her to the store and let her pick the one she wants? If "opening the present" is a factor get her a card and put a picture of the Glock in the card. You get the "surprise" of the gift plus reduced paperwork at the store.
