My experiences on the Rt 93 range have generally been good.
I use the one up on the Broad mountain. I never really had a problem there. Seems like the Game Wardens stop in a lot lately.
Hey gang! Could you give me directions to Beaver Run club? thanks. I was thinking about Palmerton club since they have a 300 yd range.
Whoops! I meant Beaver Rod & Gun. Sorry!
The Bowmanstown Rod and Gun Club, just south of Lehighton, has an excellent range. Cement benches that offer 50, 75, and 100 yard for rifle. There are also seperate ranges for pistols and blackpowder. I've been a member there for 9 years now. Lots of time I am the only one there shooting.
Like you say, it was hit or miss when I went there when I lived in the Lehigh Valley. If you can, and you have to use that range for now, try going in the middle of the week, especially when school is in session.
There are two ranges on the east side of Summit Hill behind the cemeteries. Go to the end of Ludlow St. and there is one right behind the cemetery with the stone wall. If you have an SUV or truck you can drive on the dirt path right up to the yellow gate at the range. The other one is in the woods at the end of White ST. side of cemeteries
