I recently moved near Elizabethtown, PA and want to purchase a gun. Before making such a purchase I was hoping to rent or use some different guns at a range to find one I like. Can anyone help me locate such a range please? Id drive up to an hour if necessary. Thank you.

I live close to Harrisburg and I drive to Trop when I want to go to an indoor range. There are closer gun clubs, but I don't know of any closer non-"members only" ranges nor any that rent guns.Quote:

Last I checked Trop offers call-ahead lane reservations on the same day, which can be advisable during busy times (I've had to wait for a lane on a cold wet Saturday afternoon, although it's probably not bad during warm dry weather). They also occasionally run special events or classes or rent out whole the range for a private party so it's best to make sure it's open before you go, especially with a friend coming from far away.
They have this crazy thing called google where you can search for places that rent guns near you.
Google doesn't give much useful information other than a PAFOA thread from several years ago.Quote:
