Has history not taught them anything? I'm not even making this about the guns, it's the wholesale hand over of power and rights to unelected power mongers.
Blindly they march down the path to serfdom.
The ELECTED politicians of BOTH PARTIES, have been complicit in the power hand over to government, along with their unelected bureaucrat minions. The bureaucrats wouldn't have the power unless their were laws passed, worded broadly, like the Clean Air, and Water Act which gave the EPA carte blanche to overstep their authority, and ruin the business climate in the U.S. (along with the IRS, and tax policy).

Meanwhile in Spain they just busted a massive gun smuggling ring with enough firepower to arm two divisions.

I sit here eating a bowl of Co Co Puffs. I look to my left where there are several AR15 carbines leaning against a chair, and I smile...

That is because few of those countries fought for their own freedom. Between centuries of serfdom, and what little freedom they had essentially being handed to them, it's all pretty much the norm.
The US is the holdout......for now.

Spain has been teetering on the brink of another civil was since the last one. They pretty much shut down all their domestic firearms manufacturing.

Don't worry. in 20 years when the Muslims have out bred them and take over Europe, every male will get an AK for jihad. Western Europe is toast.
Re: European Parliament Passes Stringent New Gun Controls
One has to believe there are many civilians buying and/or making arms to use...at some point in the future. I would.
