Is the August shoot the last one of the season? Moved away and want to make it back to shoot another one. Do you happen to know if they allow shooters to use the 5.7x28 round to shoot the courses? I also have some designs for inexpensive moving targets you are welcome to have to build some for the club. I would like to come up again and shoot my 45 acp carbine again, it was a blast and i am working on getting my new club set up to shoot something along these.

I am putting the proposal together to put in at Canonsburg Sportsmans. It will probably be next spring before anything gets going.
I'm not familiar with the 5.7x28. If it's a handgun calibre, then you can use it, unless we find it's damaging the steel targets. If it's what I think it is, it might not knock the steel activators down, which in turn won't activate the movers, which means you miss out on shooting at some of the moving targets, and appearing/disappearing targets. But you can give it a try..
August was not the last match of the season. The matches won't stop until the weather forces them to stop. We had such a mild winter last year that the matches went on all winter long.
Matches are: 1st Thursday evening of each month 6pm-9pm and 3rd Saturday of each month 9am-noon....jkm

It is a handgun round used in the FN FiveseveN pistol and in the ps90 carbine, this is carbine which i would be using.

I thought that might be the round you were talking about. I don't remember anyone using one at any of our matches. If you get a chance, come around and give it a try.....
i want to try to make it up to the next shoot on the 3rd saturday if not the one on the 1st thursday depend on schedule. You dont happen to have the email for the guy who runs the matches do you? would loike to find out if its allowed. Is there alot of guys running pistol cal carbines at the shoots?
What about full auto?
It's pretty rare to see a carbine at any of our matches. When one does show up, we 'create' a class for it to shoot in.
We've never had a full auto.
I'm the match director. Bring the 5.7x28 carbine if you want to give it a try, but bring something else too, in case you need something else to fall back on due to damages or safety issues (splatter). ....jkm
