Just a heads up if you've been dicking around "waiting" to build your AR15...
Lower Parts Kits are drying up.
Hopefully it's a temporary thing, but I got an email from a vendor with the following message:
Quote:
Well panic buying has set in and of course everyone in the industry is fanning the flames. This means parts are becoming harder to find and prices are going up. It isn't surprising and it will pass but if you are wanting to finish a build, get the parts you need now. If you can wait, then I'll be the first to tell you to go ahead and wait until this rush passes by.
So first I'm going to list out a few staple products that are becoming difficult to find.
Second, I'll list some sweet deals we have going on right now that haven't been effected by the panic.
I hope you'll find this helpful. Have an awesome weekend!
I had not yet noted a run on lowers or mags or ammo, but I did just go look at about 7 different vendors and most are out of the lower priced LPKs already.
Do what you want with that info.
All these things will stock back up at some point. Even if they dry up for a while.
Absolutely.
Look at 22LR - it only took five years to see that on the shelves again.
:p
I'm not trying to incite a panic, but the reality is right there. If you don't care about when you get your parts you need, then do nothing.
If you want to build it today, you are good to go. If you planned to wait another month or so... well, roll the dice I guess.
Walmart has the steel ammo cans on sale for 6.99 each.
