Hello, While I was just surfing the web for gun cleaning stands I came across a Electronic Bore Cleaner. Does anyone have one or know if they really work? Or could it be another one of those " AS SEEN ON TV " type of gadgets. If it does work it would make life easier.

You can make them yourself pretty easily. They function on the same principle as a battery or a plating process, moving the metallic fouling from the inside of the barrel to a steel rod sitting down through the middle of it.
If only it were that easy to actually electrolytically plate something in the first place. Seems awfully easy to remove massive thickness of metal and impurities this way.

Twern't sayin' that is was exactly the same process, just very similar (and in reverse) in its basics.
What's shakin' up your way?

I've made my own and used it on a crummy bored Nagant. It's messy but did get a lot of gunk out. I don't know if it's worth the effort or not. You still have to finish it off with patches and a rod. Did I mention it's messy.

I have a Foul Out II. Best tool ever for badly leaded barrels. Copper is too easy to clean out with an aggressive solvent to bother with the FO. My experience. Yours may vary.
