2010 Harrisburg Rally Coordination Thread (Pittsburgh Region)

Looking to get to Harrisburg on April 27th for the 2010 Pennsylvania Right to Keep and Bear Arms Rally but need help getting there? Whether you don't have transportation, are looking to split costs, or just think it would be more fun to travel with some like-minded folks use this thread to share and find rides.

If you need a ride, post here requesting one! Alternatively, if you have spare seats, post here offering them up!

April 27th... if I'm not working yet, I'd like to find a way there.

As I'm not working, I can't afford to drive/take anyone (Silverado is a gas hog) but if I can ride along with someone, I'd do what I can to chip in for gas.

Ive got to see how we are traveling, but may have room for others, but may also be leaving the night before.

Give me a little time so that we get where you can catch buses and or vans in and right around Allegheny county.

Several of the ACSL sportsmen clubs will be have group rides available on a first sign up get a seat saved for them.

McKeesport Sportsmen's Association - have a full size tour bus with a option to get a second one if they fill the first one up early enough.

Will update this post with information, cost is 35 bucks to get you there and back they will be leaving in the 4am to 5am time depending on where they are leaving from- still need to get who to contact

The bus leaves at 5am sharp from McKeesport's rifle range parking lot. We stop at Sidling hill to eat on turnpike, then onto the capital. Some during the day we eat and head back around 3pm--I think. We won't stop to eat on the way home and that will get us home maybe an hour earlier. Cost $30.00 for the bus and maybe cost you 10 to 15 dollars for food depending on what you buy yourself to eat.

This 47 passenger tour bus with restroom ride is directly by McKeesport, and is not part of one of the rides arranged by ACSL

You must call the sooner the better to save a seat for you.

Beaver county has 1-2 buses scheduling now. The cost is $35 per person. I'll put up more info when I dig it up. PM me in the mean time.

I might be going with my dad so we would have 2 extra seats. It is pretty likely that we will go. I live on the south side of town in Carrick so if you need a ride send me a PM.

We need motivated gun owners to put together teams of 7-15 interested individuals so that we can help you with travel arrangements or special pick up points on the way to Harrisburg.
